Recover Revolution Code Of Ethics

Primary Purpose:
We help people with substance use disorders get into recovery and stay in recovery. We work with landlords, set up recovery homes, and support the houses so members can live together safely in a democratic and accountable way.

1. Help Keep People Safe

I will do my part to keep every house safe, sober, clean, and supportive. I will not bring anything into the house that harms recovery or breaks house rules.

2. Treat Everyone With Respect

I will treat every person with kindness, honesty, and fairness. I will not judge, bully, threaten, or talk down to anyone.

3. Protect Privacy

I will keep private things private. I will not share another person’s personal story, struggles, or information unless they say it’s okay or someone is in danger.

4. Be Honest and Responsible

I will tell the truth, even when it is hard. I will follow all laws, house rules, and organizational policies. I will keep my commitments and admit when I make a mistake.

5. No Special Treatment

I will not ask for, give, or accept special favors or benefits. I will not use my position to gain anything unfair or personal. Paid or volunteer work must always be fair and never forced.

6. Support Recovery, Not Control It

I will help people help themselves. I will not boss people around or act like I am above anyone. I will support democratic decision-making and allow the house to run itself.

7. Use Good Boundaries

I will keep healthy limits with residents and volunteers. I will not get involved in romantic or financial relationships with residents. I will not borrow money, lend money, or exchange personal items.

8. Report Problems and Safety Concerns

If I see something unsafe, illegal, or harmful to recovery, I will speak up. I will report concerns to Recover Revolution leadership right away.

9. No Drugs, Alcohol, or Misuse of Medication

I will not use drugs, alcohol, or misuse prescriptions while acting in any role with Recover Revolution. If I am in recovery, I will protect my recovery and the recovery of others.

10. Remember the Mission

Everything I do should support our primary purpose: Helping people get into—and stay in—recovery. I will act in a way that builds trust, hope, and accountability in every home.
